Residents in zip codes 43201, 43206 and 43215 will see projects in their neighborhoods by the second quarter of 2027. The schedule lists 22 additional segments for 2028, including sections of Cleveland Avenue and High Street. City engineers project completion of 85 lane miles by the end of 2028.
Effects on Household Transportation Costs
A household with two registered vehicles will pay an additional $90 in the first year. The fee is collected once per vehicle at renewal and appears on the same invoice as the existing county registration charge. Public records show the average Columbus household registers 1.7 vehicles, producing an expected annual impact of $76.50 per household in 2027.
